Introduction to the programme, the research behind it and ways to implement new habits.

SESSION 2

A more practical session including; healthy snacking, guided workout, and mindfulness practices.

Nutrition

What you chose to eat on a daily basis has a huge impact. We promote a plant-based diet which has been proven to boost health and well-being. Once signed up to TeachStrong we guide you towards learning a number of great recipes that promote weight loss, increase your energy and boost your mood. Our recipes are simple, quick and use common ingredients and as an extra bonus we provide you with your weekly shopping list. We make cooking easier for you while saving you time and money.

MOVEMENT

An important part of becoming TeachStrong is moving more. This is another one of the most effective ways of improving your health and well-being. We promote the simplest, cheapest and most natural forms of exercise. After signing up to TeachStrong, we provide you with quick workouts that take the hassle out of your physical activity and show you that anyone can enjoy the benefits of exercise with just a little time, some space and no equipment. Our workouts are simple to follow and provide a guide on how to perform each exercise.

Inner well-being

An element of our health that has been neglected for far too long: our inner well-being. If you actively seek to improve this you will enjoy a number of benefits including reducing stress and anxiety and improving focus, memory and mood. Once signed up to TeachStrong, we help guide you along this journey with several short and simple  mindfulness and self-development activities. We provide you with step-by-step instructions and demonstrate how these can quickly be incorporated into your daily routine.

SLEEP

The quantity and, more importantly, quality of sleep we get is crucial. Sleep isn’t simply a case of “recharging the batteries”. It is a time for the body to repair, regenerate and clear the brain of toxins. It also boosts the immune system, improves our cognitive function, and protects us against chronic disease. During the TeachStrong programme, you will be led through various activities as well as given quick, practical tips that can be applied at home. These are guaranteed to improve your sleep so you too can enjoy all the benefits of a restful night.

COMMUNITY

Your community could be the key to you achieving your health and well-being goals. This support system around you is essential in helping you become happier and healthier. We tend to mimic the behaviours of those closest to us, therefore we must take steps to make sure these people are having a positive influence. Once signed up to TeachStrong, we guide you in how to strengthen your community, both in and outside of work. You can also then enjoy the benefits of being a part of our community: the TeachStrong Tribe.
